Written by Ben Blaschke

The World Poker Tour has announced two brand new Asian stops with WPT National Thailand and WPT National Cambodia to be held over the New Year.

Both events will actually be held in Cambodia with WPT National Thailand to run from 22 to 29 December 2016 at the Holiday Palace Casino & Resort in Poipet while WPT National Cambodia will follow from 2 to 13 January 2017 at Queenco Hotel & Casino in Sihanoukville.

“This new partnership bringing two WPT National events to the Cambodian region allows the World Poker Tour to continue its global expansion and showcases Asia’s growing demand for major poker events across a burgeoning region,” said WPT CEO, Adam Pliska.

Both the WPT National Thailand Main Event and the WPT National Cambodia Main Event will feature re-entry formats, and players will be allowed two entries per starting day for a total of six entries.
