Wake up to a 3D coffee

Written by Yuci Tai

Riding a wave of momentum from the Black Ivory Coffee promotion, MGM Macau is thrilled to bring Japanese latte artist, Kazuki Yamamoto, to Macau for an exclusive, live 3D latte art promotion that blends coffee and craftsmanship at Grande Praça Café from 12 to 18 May!

While latte artists around the world are drawing acclaim with their flat images on foam, Yamamoto goes one step further and starts building actual 3D foam sculptures that pop out of coffee cups – literally taking the art form to the next dimension! His technique involves the use of thick milk foam to make his art rise from the cup. This is done by spooning the foam and then molding it to the desired shape.

Impressively, Yamamoto does not let those coffees become iced lattes as he carefully crafts his art. He piles up the milk foam to create over-the-top 3D designs that slide from one mug into another – all in under five minutes. From a lounging polar bear to a 3D bunny admiring her own reflection in a 2D, mirror-like river, the artist whips up playful creations that go beyond imagination.

From 12 to 18 May, stop by at Grande Praça Café and request a 3D latte art or 2D portrait art of your choice from the album, to be crafted live by Yamamoto on your coffee. At the cozy outdoor cafe, sit back and marvel at the artistry as Yamamoto whips up delicious art creations that come complete with multi-layered flavors.
