Paradise City’s Incheon resort set for 20 April opening

South Korea’s first integrated resort, the Paradise City casino resort in Incheon, will open its first phase on 20 April according to joint venture partner Sega Sammy Holdings.

The Japanese pachinko operator made the announcement late last week, with Phase 1 to include a casino, hotel, convention space and banquet hall. The gaming floor will consist of 154 tables, 281 slot machines and 62 ETGs while the hotel will have 711 rooms.

Set on 330,000 square meters of land, Paradise City casino resort will see a total investment of KRW1.3 trillion (US$1.12 billion) with the amount invested by Sega Sammy coming to KRW232.9 billion.

The second phase is scheduled to open in early 2018 and will include a commercial facility, cultural centre, spa, club and boutique hotel.
