The who’s who of Macau’s VIP social and entertainment scenes…

Nothing rocks Macau like New Year celebrations! Not only did we welcome Chinese New Year on February 10, the January 1 New Year saw several big countdown parties officially welcome 2013.

Part of Grand Lisboa’s 6th anniversary celebrations was a Charity Visit Day. It’s great to see Macau companies giving back to the community. Mr Louis Ng, SJM’s Director and Chief Operating Officer, said, “… SJM has been taking the corporate social responsibility and supporting the local charitable events. With the … 6th Anniversary of Grand Lisboa and the Lunar New Year, we are very pleased to organize this meaningful event to show our care and best wishes towards the minority groups in society”.

And so we bid farewell to the Dragon and welcome the Year of the Snake. Astute in observation and deft in action, snakes are keen, cunning, intelligent and wise and of course they possess a healthy dose of seduction.

Every Macau casino celebrated Chinese New Year in its own unique and special style. The streets were packed with revelers optimistic that this auspicious occasion would deliver good luck and especially good fortune at the tables. The spectacular celebrations always create an unforgettable atmosphere with fireworks every night, incredible Lion and Dragon dances, the warding off of evil spirits and of course lucky mandarin trees almost everywhere.
