The Macau Tennis Civil Club’s 90th Anniversary Celebrations have continued with an exciting conclusion to one of the most anticipated events on the 2016 calendar for tennis fans – the SJM Cup.
Sponsored by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau SA, the SJM Cup saw 38 doubles teams compete in various tournaments over the course of eight days with the combined age of every single pair of players adding up to 90 or over in a fitting tribute to the Club’s Anniversary.
They included one mixed doubles team in which a 78-year male and a 16-year-old female played together – an age gap of 60 years!
The final results saw Ng Hon-Man and Zhong Wing-On crowned Men’s Doubles Champions, while Choeng Dung-Zuk and Lei Choek-Hung won the Mixed Doubles.
