Six of Macau’s best local eSports players are heading to the eSports World Champions next month after being named to represent Team Macao SAR.

A team of five League of Legends players and one Hearthstone representative were the standout performers at a recent eSports tournament organized by Grow uP eSports – a non-profit association aimed at creating and developing an eSports industry that will be headquartered in Macau and operate throughout the ASEAN region.

The 8th eSports World Championship is the only international eSports competition based on nationality and will be held from 6 to 9 of October at Ancol Beach Auditorium in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Team Macao SAR will compete against 37 other countries using their skills to battle for a share in US$54,000 in prize money.
