Good Food Guide: Lemon Lemon Café

Written by Pai Yao

Hidden in a small alley in Macau Central, Lemon Lemon Café uses lemon yellow color as its theme and places lots of lemon outside its door for decoration. The décor has a strong British flavor and is very attractive to visitors.

The café is designed with a glass wall, so the whole store is visually spacious. It also allows guests to see the endless stream of passers-by, creating a strong contrast with the quiet environment inside the café. As soon as you walk in, the smiling and welcoming staff make you feel very warm.

I have been to this café twice and have tried their sandwiches, omelet and pasta. I personally like their creamy linguine with lemon chicken. The first time I tried it, the cream sauce was too sticky so I felt full after finishing only half of the dish, but the pasta was slightly hard which is just what I like.

The second time I visited, the staff told me they have since improved the sauce and added black pepper powder and a touch of lemon juice, which made the thick white cream sauce refreshing and balanced the stickiness of the sauce. The only blemish is the chicken is a bit too hard.
