Welcome to the first issue of World Gaming magazine, the magazine for people who love to bet. Our purpose is to educate, inform and entertain the punting public.
Our home base is Macau, so of course you’ll find plenty in the magazine about casino games. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg – every month our magazine will have so much more. We have a regular football column focusing on the English Premier League, a poker lesson from a professional poker player, restaurant reviews from a world class restaurant critic, articles on world sports such as golf and tennis, and all the latest racing action from the Hong Kong Jockey Club and other racing around the world.
We also have a regular Mahjong column jointly written by two Mahjong pros (one from Japan and the other from Hong Kong), a regular BlackJack column, and a high roller lifestyle column giving you a peek into the how the rich and famous live. Every month we’ll profile a professional poker player in the Asia region, provide other articles on casino games, and to top it all off we have an incredibly useful directory in the back of the magazine.
As if all those regular columns weren’t enough, every month we’ll also have feature articles on what’s currently hot in the world of gaming. This month’s main feature is on Macau versus Vegas and why Macau clearly has taken over as the number one gambling centre of the world.
I’m proud of the team of contributors we’ve already built up for World Gaming. We’re lucky to have James Potter as our Editor-in-chief. James is one of the region’s most experienced and accomplished sports, gaming and poker journalists. Damien Oborne is contributing for our international sports columns. Damien is a talented journalist and sports statistician with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of world sport. Jenn Barr from Japan and Kelvin Ng from Hong Kong write our Mahjong column, and yours truly the BlackJack column. Besides a strong team of staff writers, you’ll see special guest writers pop up from month to month.
With the team of quality writers we have, I know that World Gaming will quickly cement itself as the premier magazine for betting information in the Asia region, and I hope you’ll eagerly await its release each month. We hope you have as much fun reading it as we did putting it together!

Our aim is to make the magazine interesting as well as informative. There are some lifestyles elements to the magazine that I hope will also entertain and help our readership. I am excited about the excellent contributors we have here at World Gaming and am confident that we have hand selected the very best international gamblers and experts to give you the edge that you need to win and enjoy yourself in the process.
