Angkor Air adds Macau-Cambodia route

Written by Ben Blaschke

Cambodian carrier Angkor Air has launched a new route between Cambodia and Macau.

Scheduled to operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays, the flights will connect Macau with Sihanoukville International Airport. Macau is now one of eight international routes for Angkor Air which also flies to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Danang.

It’s a positive move for both destinations with Angkok Air marketing manager Eng Moline telling Cambodia’s Khmer Times that, “the airline added the route because of an increase in passengers wanting to travel between the destinations.”

Tourist numbers from China to Cambodia incrased by almost 20 percent in 2016 to 830,000 visitors.
